I had the procedure done at CAMH Queen/Ossignton location within Toronto, Ontario. Staff was incredibly friendly and delightful to be around. All of the psychiatrists that performed the procedure seemed very intelligent and answered any questions I had. They were also extremely punctual and productive with the number of patients that they had to go through.
I received 23 treatments exactly and was anesthetized with methohexital I believe and had a muscle relaxant which was succinylcholine.
The first treatment was pretty freaky. For me it felt like I was being pummeled by an avalanche of snow. They became easier though but some patients had trouble getting them done.
It didn't work for me (or I really doubt it did) but I talked to some people first hand that felt it being effective.
It was weird waking up and for the first 5 minutes forgetting your age/where you were, what the date is etc.
The doctors I had I believe were Dr. Daskalakis, Dr. Goldbloom and Dr.Blumberger for most of the sessions.
