My doc did all kinds of tests and said I have Raynaud's Syndrome and that painful swelling joints in my feet are a symptom of the disease.
She said if Trileptal is causing some added swelling (which it does), then I'd have to make a decision and be aware of meds in the future that cause swelling.
Foot & ankle swelling is a tiny side effect with Trileptal, but I've tested it a few times and when I'm off Trileptal for about 3-4 days the painful, joint swelling goes away.
I love Trileptal, but I need to walk. My doc suggested upping Geodon and ditch Trileptal.
She also cautioned me that all drugs have side effects.
Ugh! So now I'm supposed to try 120mg of Geodon. Lay off the Trileptal for a month.
