Pesticides used on foods could be one cause. They've been links to Parkinson's Disease.
Not sure if this link will work for others since I'm on a tablet computer and many of my links are different.Preservatives in food such as BHA and BHT have been linked to altering brain chemistry.

And if I remember right, a few years they believed they caused an increase chance of Alzheimer's Disease, but lately they say they actually decrease the chance. As far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out.
