energized on Neurontin?

Posted by g_g_g_unit on March 24, 2014, at 1:21:05

I was prescribed Neurontin for anxiety/restlessness. I was on it several years ago, 900mg at night, and while it improved my sleep quality, it never directly helped put me to sleep. On the plus side, it wiped out my anxiety the next day, at the expense of depression and brain fog.

Anyway, I started with 100mg b.i.d. yesterday and am finding it energizing, but in a somewhat unpleasant way (I feel miserable and teary). I'm willing to put up with any mood disruptions for the time being in order to be able feel less restless, so was wondering if anyone knew whether the energizing effects pass?

I'm also wary that if it doesn't work, the withdrawal could be rather unpleasant, so am hesitant to remain on it too long.
