Hi All-
I'm currently taking about 5-6 pills for my mdd or bipolar 2. I'm not feeling great physically (actually I've been quite weak), though I'm mentally doing better than I have in a long time (although I really feel more "manic" than I ever remember being).
That said, I feel stuck where I am currently and really desire to keep healing and pushing myself forward (begin exercising, perhaps socializing/dating more, and cutting down on my current med regimen as I feel physically "overloaded"). In fact, I am starting acupuncture soon and beginning sessions with a life coach/healer/therapist next week, which has helped me immensely in the past (as opposed to "traditional" therapy).
I had an appointment with my gyn doc last week, and she put me on Jolivette (the "mini pill"). In fact, she referred to it as "the happy pill" for women, and convinced me it would keep my hormones at a non-fluctuating level consistently. Interesting enough, my pdoc had been pushing hormones on me for a while and I refused to listen to him (I know nothing about the pill or hormones), but my gyn convinced me in less than five minutes that it could very well be the key to me getting even better and cutting down on some of my psych meds by the end of the year (as well as addressing my crazy PMS!).
Does anyone have experience with this, feedback or knowledge? I am completely clueless on this subject!
Thanks and hope everyone is doing well.
