I've recently started taking my Oxtellar XR at dinner time along with my Geodon. I had to drop back down to 150mg extended release. I've tried everything from 300mg up to 900mg and it gives me terrible akathesia in the morning. I thought I was losing my mind. I was under the impression that more Trileptal (Oxtellar) would make me calmer - just the opposite, I was having such bad anxiety and near panic attacks I had to constantly take Klonopin. When my doc dropped me down to 150mg at dinner, I still sleep great, it helps with mood and no daytime akathesia. My doc explained that low dose Trileptal was like a stronger Klonopin and does indeed help with anxiety.

There's something weird with my liver, so low doses work well on me. Geodon has been the best mood stabilizer. Traditional mood stabilizers tend to make me crazier. Doesn't make sense. 125mg of Depakote almost made me suicidal. That's not anywhere near "therapeutic dose".

My doc tells me I'm on the low end of the BP spectrum.
