Remeron antagonizes the 5ht2c receptor. this has Been shown to increase hunger. and there is a new weight loss med out called Belviq that is an agonist at the 5ht2c receptor. and Belviq decreases hunger.

my experience with meds that are 5ht2c receptor antagonists, when I take them I just get hungry more often. I try to avoid it, but eventually over time feeling hunger more often, I gained like 20 pounds.
