P, for certain tests,such as lipid panel, I fast after midnight, but I drink water on the way to have my blood drawn, as they have a difficult time drawing my blood,small veins, and the lab tech said it would help if I drank plain water the morning I am to have blood drawn. And it doesn't interfere with my results.But they said only plain water.
