I have personally taken Remeron. Before I began taking it I was 155 lbs and 8 months later I was 212 lbs. I have since lost the weight and I'm at 155 lbs again, but I lost a lot of muscle in the process, so I have a stomach that sticks out and makes me look like a sick african child. I wouldn't recommend Remeron or Seroquel. They both have the same mechanism of action, so I'm going to assume they have the same side effects. Remeron and Seroquel both block histamine and histamine controls appetite. Without histamine controlling your appetite, you go wild, eat everything in sight and not in sight. I knew nothing about calories before I had to lose the Remeron weight. If I had to estimate the amount of calories I was putting down a day once I started Remeron at 155 lbs, I'd say I was consuming 3200 to 3500. It was unbelievable.
