Mental illness may be caused by to little of serotonin or too much. If your problem is to much the SSRI's and SNRI's will cause anxiety up mild to panic attacks. Cymbalta is a SNRI so probably isn't the drug for you.

The klonopin as you know will relieve the anxiety but I'm not sure it's effective for long term.
