In reply to a new arsenal of anti biotic for super bugs, posted by Jeroen on April 13, 2015, at 12:29:30
Excellent herbs were placed on this earth for this very purpose. Three or four of them at a time....which is basically what my lyme treatment was....kill bugs that drugs can't.
In addition, a simple trick which is not often employed as far as I am aware, is to combine 3 different antibiotics of different mechanisms. Lyme MDs do this all the time and it is quite effective. It is also, by the way, an excellent way to prevent antibiotic resistance in the first place.
My opinion...a single antibiotic by itself should never be prescribed....because that is exactly what sets the stage for resistance. If antibiotic therapy is needed, even if only for a few days, it should be 2 or 3, not 1.
I could write a book on that topic alone.
Good to see you Jereon!
