Have you sat down and talked to your gastro-enterologist?You're absolutely right- I do think that physical health has a ton to do with what's going on right now. They say the gut is our "second brain", after all. And yes, the IBD (and fears about autoimmunity in general) pretty much consume my thoughts. I was trying to control the inflammation with diet and supplements, but no dice. My gastroenterologist has recommended steroids as a next step. Which I am of course terrified to take because of the mental SE's. But I'm not sure I have a choice, as I've lost a lot of weight and am pretty sure my nutrients aren't being absorbed properly.
