Is Beetroot a risk w. MAOi or BP1 people?

Is it a risk to take Beetroot with Nardil or Marplan?
I have hypertension and have been looking for natural ways to get it back to normal. I ordered some Beetroot capsules yesterday w.o. thinking about maoi resteictions (I take marplan). I googled a bit today and while i can't find anything saying its explicitly contradicted I found a bunch saying it can indirectly raise SAMe and maybe Serotonin.
Anyone ever take Beetroot w an MAOi? Im also bipolar 1 and I'm weary of SAMe on its own due to hypomania it induce 15yrs ago.
Thx for any advice.
