Luvox and Latuda Interaction

Posted by MuseMemento on March 4, 2016, at 12:47:27

Hi, all. I'm currently on fluvoxamine 300 mg daily, lamotrigine 200 mg daily, vyvanse 80 mg daily and lorazepam 2 mg daily. I've just been given two trial packets of 40 mg latuda, at my suggestion, by my pdoc but I didn't realize how strongly fluvoxamine inhibited cyp3a4. The general recommendation is to initiate latuda at 50% dose for concomitant use with cyp3a4 inhibitors. Should I try splitting the pills and starting there or is it too dangerous with the possibility of the interaction to even attempt it? Also, the latuda is to assist in OCD that simply isn't being managed by the fluvoxamine slash a possible delusional disorder directly related to OCD. Thanks!
