Just for clarity, there is a lot of nomenclature confusion around methylated folic acid. There are two branded products, Deplin and Metafolin, and both contain 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, which is also known as levomefolic acid, which would appear to correspond with your l-5-methylfolate.
Can you possibly confirm from the content details?
Thanks, and I hope you continue to feel positive benefits. It's an essential part of the recycling pathway of homocysteine back to methionine. You may have an innate genetic defect in your enzymatic synthesis of this activated folate substance, and perhaps the oral supplement can overcome that for you.
Best,
Lar
