My definition of "okay" was/is a feeling of general satisfaction with my life. No extremes in mood. The usual sadness over a loss or disappointment and a general sense of well being about my life the rest of the time. I no longer have that.

Panic is a feeling I know well. I have trouble appreciating my "gratitude list". I feel no satisfaction in my current circumstances and usually see no way out.

So, for me, feeling "okay" means feeling general satisfaction with my life.
