I hope you don't give up on tDCS after only six sessions. Read this post from http://tdcsplacements.com/placements/reducing-depression/
I am just finishing up a TDCS study sponsored by the University of South Whales. For depression, electrodes were placed in the F3/F8 montage. I received 40 thirty minute blind sessions with the last four weeks guaranteed to be full amperage treatments. I have taken antidepressants for 30 plus years and they mostly didnt work. After these sessions for the study, I am depression free. The damned back ground talk has ceased. Currently I am having a cool down treatment once a week for four weeks and the study will end. I have been able to relax and focus more on what I am doing. I am unipolar meaning I am either depressed or just numb. These last two months I have actually felt happy! I feel more evened out if that makes any sense. .
