I have had that sudden uptick in mood before on different medications.Is it not possible to have sensitivities to drugs without a bipolar dx...especially in trauma?
I'm going to look at memantine, but in doing some thinking and research I'm pretty sure the effexor is the reason for the insomnia and daytime sleepiness.
