desipramine and voice...

Posted by TriedEveryMedication on October 18, 2016, at 21:44:47

another annoying side effect of desipramine:

my vocal cords get tight and it is difficult to talk. Swallowing and breathing are ok.

found this on newyorkvoiceacademy.com's website:

"Tricyclics ... also have a drying effect on
vocal fold tissues, which can lead to hoarseness, soreness, voice changes or laryngitis.
Additionally, dry vocal tissues may be more prone to injuries such as nodules."

Anything can be done to treat this?

(Interestingly, when I'm on wellbutrin, my voice seems deeper and louder and I'm able to sing better. I don't know why. )
