I'm not taking medication now. I tried everything off and on for 10-15 years, and frankly, in retrospect, I didn't get much benefit. The meds just don't address my core issue of anxiety/panic most of the time.
In terms of meditation and depression, not certain what to tell you there. I guess the meditation has been keeping me more in the present, so my mind doesn't wander to places, and into cycles, that lead me to depressive emotional states. Not saying that I have "conquered" depression (or anxiety) by any means, but I am at least able to push away feelings of paranoia and fear and depression much quicker when they start to take control of me by staying in the present, if that makes sense. Hopefully, you find something that keeps the depression at bay. God knows in this short life of much poverty (at least for me), we all deserve it. Be well, Beckett.
