I think that when a psych doc uses it its in very small doses. Not because of a sub clinical measurement but because for some reason it occasionally helps to add it to a med regime, rather than fix any high or low levels as such. Off label of course. Like I take Galantamine, an anti Alzheimers/dementia/Parkinson drug. Not because I have these conditions but because my doc has experience, or at least backed up references that some times it helps. Why? I doubt even he knows. But its true. (He's a Neuro-Psychopharmacologist btw)
Meds: Phenelzine 120mg, Amitriptyline 100mg, Clonazepam 3mg, Bupropion 450mg, Aripiprazole 5mg, Acamprosate 2g, Amantadine 8mg.
