DAT is the dopamine transporter. After dopamine has activated a receptor, it is recycled by DAT. If DAT is blocked, it means that dopamine sticks around longer to activate dopamine receptors.
viibryd blocks DAT weakly. Hence, it is probably not a major part of its effect. However, viibryd may increase dopamine via other mechanisms.
That being said, viibryd is a potent serotonin reuptake inhibitor.
