Hi,

It is primarily a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, like nortriptyline or desipramine.

It probably feels more like nortriptyline, owing to its 5-ht2a and antihistamine effects.

The sexual side effects would probably be less than with SSRIs.

As far as cardiac effects, because it is a NRI, it could increase heart rate and/or blood pressure. From some google searching, it appears that QTc prolongation can be a side effect.


I'm not sure if you've tried nortriptyline. These two would likely be similar, with perhaps, a bit less risk of QTc with nortriptyline.

Not 100% sure.
