I know (from your signature) that you take metformin like I do. There was a recent article that suggested metformin hand inhibit some of the benefits of exercise. I didn't think it was specifically muscle gaining but I think weight loss. It should be on pub med if you search. Or I could try to find it again (on my phone atm and going to bed).
