In reply to New generic Sertraline = I am a mess. What the FU?, posted by Nomadd on August 31, 2019, at 17:25:37
Highly likely that's the problem. I've had lots of issues w generics lately. To the point that I call pharmacies and ask which generic they carry, and make sure they don't switch it.
If I were you I'd call around and ask other pharmacies "Can you tell me which generic manufacturer of "Sertraline" 25mg tables you guys carry? Hopefully another pharmacy that is close will carry Aurobindo (or maybe something other than Neumann). You could also call your current pharmacy and tell them you think you're having a reaction to the "filler and binders" in this brand and you would like to switch back or try another. Eat brand uses slightly different inactive ingredients. Pharmacies will understand that. The reality is some of these generic companies (90%+ are in India now) have very poor quality control.
But yea do whatever it takes to get back on Aurobindo or perhaps another generic. I'd google with "Aurobindo" "Generic Sertraline" + "post" or "forum" (using the quotes makes google only return results w those words). You'll prob find forums have discussed bad generics for Sertraline.
Since it's not controlled if you have any refills you should be able to get it early. If your doc is generally understanding let them know.
Insurance might not cover the med early but just use the GoodRX app/page to get a big discount. I doubt it's very costly.
