i've read studies, and its like i can't go back and read the source, because i read it a long time ago. But i read that there was 400mg buprion in one dose, produced mild stimulantion to amphetamine, and caused sterotype behavior. When i was on it, it was activating and keeps you buproponized but not like stimulants. At 450 XL, the xl form releases 3 times in pill, first when you take it, say like 9am, there would be 150mg of bupropn released, then at midnoon same thing, then around 5-6pm last release of it, so its like your getting 150 mg every 4-5 hours. It has a short half life that's why they use XL forms so you don't have redose.
When i took 650, it was 220mg being released every 4 hours. And it was not pleasant. In US it was released in '85 and they used doses up to 900, they withdrew it because of seizures, then put it back on market with a lowered maximum dose.
