I think the important action of APs in depression is their blockade of serotonin 5-HT2 receptors. With that in mind, you could also try mirtazapine or even cyproheptadine (an anti-histamine).
Have you tried any serotonin 5-HT1A receptor agonists? Eg. buspirone and vortioxetine.
