No, I just purchased organic (not that it likely matters) ginger root spice and mixed a liberal amount of this with coconut oil (specifically MCT oil - with ~50% caprylic acid). The first day there was a tiny bit of pain in applying (more sensed as heat). On the 2nd day there was no discomfort in applying.
