I hear you. I had a hypertensive reaction to parnate (despite following the diet) and was taken off. However, it was working for me. I don't think I would get a 2nd chance. I have used MAOI herbs before (even in conjunction with SS/SNRIs) without any problems. If you're looking for GABA-T activity, you could try substances containing rosmarinic acid (i.e. rosemary). It is a gaba-t inhibitor with known anti-anxiety effects.
