> Tumeric's MAO inhibitory properties are pretty mild. You might be benefitting from tumeric's anti-inflammatory properties. There's a lot of research on relationship between inflammation and mental illness.
> The Longvida brand is supposed to be most capable at crossing the blood brain barrier. The brand I bought, I can't remember right now, (it is way downstairs in my kitchen..I am lazy to get out of bed.lol) but it was pricey, and it did say on the bottle that is was able to cross the blood-brain barrier. I definitely think I have triggered a bit of it's MAOI properties, because when I have taken it later in the evening, I have trouble sleeping, and I feel a bit 'jazzed'. But the anti-inflammatory properties are awesome for me, because I very, very often get swollen muscles in neck, swollen throat glands, tension headaches, tense hand, arm, leg muscles...and on and on. Especially during bad depressive episodes. I have to eat half a bottle of Ibuprofen just to walk! I was told I likely have Fibro by a nurse friend of mine. So. yeah, I think it is the combination. Knock on wood..lol.

I was brought up to believe..
Belief that's failed me now
As Life goes from bad to worse
No philosophy consoles me
In a clockwork universe..........
