How much worse was your depression in the past than it is today? If your depression were to get worse, would you then give yourself permission to stop trying so hard to function?
That is a familiar feeling to me.
As I suggested previously, it might be time for you to take a "SRI holiday". Your receptors / second messengers might have to re-establish a baseline state before you can reintroduce a SRI.
In the "old days" (1980s and 1990s), if someone were to relapse while taking Nardil, the drug was removed from the treatment regime for 3 months. Reintroducing Nardil afterwards often resulted in "recapturing" the antidepressant response. One of my doctors had a patient who he had to cycle between Nardil and Parnate in order to have the patient remain functional.

I dream of things that never were and ask why not.The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
