I have a question. Have you ever tried amphetamine in place of methylphenidate? Most people find methylphenidate too "harsh". I don't know whether or not there is an extended-release version.
Without methylphenidate, would you still need Seroquel?
This is what I am currently taking:
Nardil 90 mg/day
Nortriptylien 100 mg/day
Lamictal 300 mg/day
LithiumL 300 mg/dayI have been doing very well with this treatment. Through experimentation, these are the optimal dosages for each drug.
Low-dose (150-450 mg/day) lithium for depression is not a new treatment, but is often overlooked. Through clinical trials, low dose lithium has been proven effective in both Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Depression in the absence of spontaneous manic episodes. With dosages this low, side effects are minimal, and there is almost no potential for it to cause kidney and thyroid abnormalities. One happy "side effect" for lithium is that it is consistently reported to be effective in reducing the risk of Alzheimer's Disease.
Good luck with fine-tuning your treatment.
Take care.
