I would search through the archives and have a look for yourself.

I remember he would quote from posters and attribute the quotation to their posting name (e.g., Lamdage22).

My memory was that it was to illustrate things like posters providing support to one another online (saying positive things). Or posters obtaining a diversity of answers to questions (maybe to illustrate high quality of evidence or range of evidence conveyed).

My impression was that he was proud of the community, here, and was trying to show it off (in a positive light) so that the site could potentially reach more people.

But I would say to have a look for yourself. There were a couple published articles, I believe. There were also some seminars...

Posters were invited to be part of the seminars, I think. Going along to the Medical Conference and being part of the presentation. But that might have been his response to posters expressing unhappiness that he might be presenting their words at the conference without their permission first.

I don't remember anybody having a particular complaint about him giving away their posting-names medications they were taking or anything sensitive. But perceptions on that can vary -- of course.

I remember that apart from removing posts from posters who were banned (who posted under new accounts) or obscene posts... The only time posts were edited / parts deleted was if a poster posted personally identifying information and then realised that later and requested it be removed. I think he did remove things like people's real names or their email addresses (that may contain their real names) and things like that down the track. From memory there was the odd case where people outed themselves during an episode or something and that was fixed up later.

So, that's the opposite of revealing personal information about them.
