Ammonium chloride + GABA supps.?

I can't remember where, but I once read somewhere that low doses of ammonium chloride can vastly increase the amount of 4-aminobutanoate from supplements that crosses the BBB. Anyone know if there's any truth to this? Not really important, since we have picamilon, but I'm just a bit curious.
