difference though huh?

I would say so, yes. But I also have another factor--about the
same time I started the supplements, I met a really great guy. And
I was really lonely before and that contributed to my mental health...I
was very isolated. So it's hard for me to say if it's the guy or it's
the supplements. Probably a combination of both.
I'm also working REALLY hard on cognitive/meditative approaches to my moods...
not panicking when my mood/energy dips...just accepting it with kindness. That
helps it pass a lot quicker too. I have a different approach to depression
than I used to...rather than trying to GET RID of it..I'm trying to accept
it with a more loving/compassionate approach. That is much more helpful to
me. And it's a lot of hard work because everything in you wants to get rid of
it, to not feel those feelings. But in my experience, what you resist, insists.
And sometimes I feel that this stuff bubbles up, so that it can be healed and
embraced with compassion. The more we try to banish it and get rid of it and say
it's bad, it means something's wrong...the worse it gets. That's just my experience
though. I don't claim to have the answers for anyone.

I don't know...I've been curious about that. Maybe you can help me figure that out...
they don't measure blood...they look at urine. I heard the only accurate way to measure
brain levels was to have a spinal tap? Is that true? I'm not sure how accurate the level
testing is...but I figure in any case if the seratonin went from 119.0 to 575.0...those things
must be affecting something....

I thought about this yesterday, and I should also say...I'm not
selling my soul to depression either. That's a tricky balance to
figure out...you can lose your soul to depression, and you can lose
your soul to medication...for me the trick is to be on just barely enough...
enough to keep me from totally losing it, but enough so that I still
have to deal with my emotions.

the natural approaches and then use meds
for the rest. So far, unfortunately for me,
the natural approaches haven't accomplished much.
But I'd really like to try this.

Do you have health insurance? I never had much luck
with the natural approach until this either. I tried acupuncture.
It didn't work. I tried St. John's Wort and Sam-e...didn't work.
Meditation probably worked better than any of that. This has
helped. It's not perfect and I still have to deal with some pretty
intense moods...where I'm VERY tempted to just medicate myself...but
I think it does help. I really suggest meditation. Read that article, really--
meditation helps, Mcphat, I aint lyin.

They are
supposed to let me know if there is somebody
in my area that I can go to for this approach. So you do recommend this ROO?
Hey, if it only helps 25% then that's pretty
good. I remember reading a post of yours
when you were in their "conditioning phase".
It is ok to be on meds when you do this treatment,
correct?

You can call my doctor for reccommendations...maybe he would
even work with you over the phone...I don't know, but his number
is 919-967-8400.

I would try it...what can it hurt? It is expensive though. That's
a drawback. Yes, it's okay to be on meds...I am. Are you bipolar?
there could be a problem with hypomania being triggered, I guess.

still waiting for it to really kick-in.
Write as much as you feel like about that
natural approach that you're doing...I'm
all ears, lol...I'd really like to go there.
Thanks!!!

How are you though? Are you feeling shitty?
