That's an excellent price.

That's a rationalization of the gender difference, but it is a sensible one.

Of flax oil, yes, but only in the context of EPA and DHA. Flax oil is still good for you. If you use fish oil, you don't need any flax oil, as there are other dietary sources that will cover that base adequately.

Good for you. Informed consumer.

Frankly, no. The Inuit consume 20 or more grams of omega-3 fatty acids per day. You could find that your own body does like that large a dose, but that may just be that you're not used to it. Some people do report an intolerance to fish oil (side effects that are intolerable)....we're all different. My advice is generic. Your experience will be specific.

> I believe all excess vitamins I take get urinated out.

Not all. That's the point. In order for your kidneys to be able to excrete the vitamins, they must already be in the blood. Kidneys are stupid. They do not differentiate between vitamins and waste products of metabolism. While the kidneys are blindly dumping nutrients into urine, all your tissues have enhanced access to the high blood nutrient concentrations. Just having it in your blood is not good enough; it must have an opportunity to get into the tissues. Every tissue/organ is membrane-bound. Just like the blood-brain barrier, there are similar membranes in every tissue. The only way you can possibly supply your tissues with nutrients is to get them into the blood first (excluding IV and injection).

Yes, you can potentially develop urinary tract infections, as the bacteria think that potent urine is nutritious as well. If you get an irritation down there, drink cranberry juice. It has a chemical in it that prevents the binding of bacteria to the walls of the bladder and urethra, and thereby prevents colonization by bacteria.

> I'm taking garlic pills also. I looked up information about them, but couldn't find anything about overdosing, so I suppose it is safe. Garlic helps kill off the infection caused when Candida gets too much sugar, and since I have lived my entire life mostly from junk food, I'm sure I probably have it.

I've never heard of garlic overdose, but raw garlic is better. If you think you have candida, you should consider going low-carb.

Thanks.
