The sodium ion is very poorly bound to the lactate, and in water, the sodium is gone in a flash. I'd assume all lactate salts are quite soluble, but I'd have to look each one up to be sure.
If you're lactate sensitive, I'd be concerned about using any supplement with lactate in it.....but that's the concept to consider. Are you lactate sensitive or not? (rhetorical question) I have no idea if lactate is quickly absorbed from the gut (giving you a sudden higher blood concentration), or if it taken up slowly, or incompletely. I'll see if I can figure it out, once the coffee hits me.
