Ive never posted here before because I am new to all this stuff, but I find reading all your posts very helpful and want to say thank to everyone who does post. I have figured out that I have a form of social phobia im not to bad in the interpersonal small group stuff but the very thought of having to do a presentation or god forbid teach would have me faint right there on the spot, I go into an absolute panic to the point I will run away from the situation and have even left jobs because of it. Its horrible and until recently it had not been diagnosed but now that im getting treatment I am getting a lil better. I still cant do presentations and things of that nature but I have been able to do things like job interviews and I even landed a new job. I realize that these symptons may seem mild compared to people who are afraid to go outside and have agoraphobia. I guess my main fears are public speaking, job interviews, presentations and stuff like that, but I am in a state of extreme panic in these situations especially public speaking, I even get sick from it. Sorry if im posting in the wrong spot, does anyone have any feedback about my symptons or personal stories or meds that might help me. Ive tried paxil, then I went on effexor which makes me very tired and now im on remeron. I asked my doctor about nardil because of what I have read here, and ive also heard klonopin works well. Im looking for something because I still feel I cannot stand public speaking but I am getting better at some of the other things im afraid of. Im very interested in this blueberry extract do you think it could help me????? My doctor says for my symptons nardil and klonopin are no good and I should stick with SSRI's. Im not confrontational and I dont want to disagree with a medical doctor that should know what he is doing. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist in a few weeks it took me 3months to get the appointment I hope they can help me some. Any info would be greatly appreciated thank you all.
