I'll be going to see them this Monday for the initial evaluation. I did a lot of research on them, including all of the posts here on Babble. To me it just makes a lot of sense that a body can't function properly if it doesn't have the right balance of essential nutrients.
I seem to fall into different "Pfeiffer" catagories when comparing the symptom profiles. So, I am curious to see what they will find.
I suffer from PD and depression with mild OCD.
The nurse, I spoke to on the phone, told me that they will do an extensive evaluation on Monday which includes family history, previous illnesses, all kinds of other questions that will give them clues, a physical exam, blood work, urine test, and hair analysis.
According to this (without the test results), they will start you on a preliminary regimen. Once they get the test results (ca. 4-6 weeks from original appointment) they will finetune your treatment.
I'll keep you posted on my experience, if you'd like.
