Have you talked out what was causing it? Having someone to talk about your feelings, who you know will listen without interuption, is important. Trust and understanding are necessary qualities in the person of course.
Have you tried scream therapy, where instead of holding it all in, you just let it all out, screaming as loud as you can, just letting it all go through?
If it isn't too personal... does sex relieve it because of the distraction, or is some anxiety caused by hornyness... if hunger or thirst can trigger it, other urges can to I suppose... I'm a bit curious about that.
Or are you acting out something horrible from your past? Do you have a compulsive impulsive behavior... uh.. that might not be the proper condition I'm thinking of but something very close.
Do you enjoy the sex, or is it just an impulse?
