You're trying to enter a new realm of understanding, and that realm is vast. You'll pick up comprehension soon enough. Supplements can optimize how your body works, but that may not normalize every function. Diet and supplements are in your control, and you can learn to have a dialog with your body. It's really quite empowering, if you find things that help. You may still benefit from drugs. One sort of intervention does not necessarily exclude the other. Hopefully, though, you can minimize drug exposure.
