What I'm left to ponder is just what to do about it. And, I think the method must necessarily involve the same sort of thinking that goes into dealing with e.g. type-2 diabetes, or adrenal fatigue. The assumptions are that changing the parameters within which the glands must act will eventually return them to more normal functioning (not cure, more normal.....the stress may have done some damage).
I think that's what adaptogens tend to do....normalize certain parameters which rest the glands for a bit.
I wish we had a better understanding, all around.
