I think I'll try the tyrosine with a little cup of tea in the morning and see if I can find that "feel good" feeling I used to get from stimulants.

I've used that combo for over 18 months on and off..500mg tyrosine powder (or capsule) on waking on an empty stomach and caffeine in 3 cups of tea at least. Yes, it works as you found :-)
Good amount for smaller build female anyway.
Sometimes I also need P5P b6 50mg as well.

2 grams of tyrosine seems to have mood altering (over pleasant) effects with me. Fine if you don't want to try and concentrate or do anything I guess. Tried it once in afternoon:-)
Then again I'm on thyroid meds, so maybe its all shunted down another pathway ..maybe dopamine.
