You can probably judge the likelihood that SJW will do similar things as do the SSRIs by looking at the typical side-effect profile. Irritability or racing mind are not on the list. Most likely are headache or gastric upset, but each passes rather quickly as the body adjusts. SJW is the most effective and gentlest (I mean those terms in combination. Other prescription meds have more powerful effect, but I couldn't tolerate their effect either) antidepressant I've ever used.
