My pdoc said we could go up to 6 grams of Tryptophan if necessary.

It interesting, I read in book that it is best taken on an empty stomach with fruit juice. But on my prescription bottle it says "take with food". I go by what the book says. I am only on 500 mg but I take 80 mg of Prozac as well. I am still in a deep depression.

> Hey all! I use Larry Hoover's trick of equine-supply tryptophan on an empty stomach with juice and a B-complex. I'm wondering if there's any consensus on the best doses for tryphophan. I feel like I need a lot but don't know the effect this has on the body's peripherals, if any. Is there a consensus on the proper amounts of tryptophan?
