Lemongrass, Vervain, and Clary Sage

Posted by verne on March 4, 2006, at 13:18:10

After reading that these herbs may be marginally calming, I ordered loose Lemongrass and Vervain for tea. I'm still experimenting with Calamus Root, ashwagandha, and many others. Also thought I would try powdered Kanna already capped and ready to go. (smoke and tea didn't work out)

In addition to an aromatherapy solution with Clary Sage I'm expecting some Lavender oil. I'm hoping that will help settle me down.

On yet another note, I thought I would give taurine a whirl for alcohol cravings (and anxiety?) as recommended by Larry Hoover in an earlier thread. Got powder and caps.

I probably will post less or, at least, avoid all the boards except Alternative and the main PsychoBabble board for med issues. It's like going to the supermarket or driving in traffic - I end up drinking later to cope with the resulting agitation. Then I have to do more remedial drinking and apologetic posting in the aftermath.

So I'll be running beneath the surface more.
