Licorice MAOI?

I have seen some reports of licorice being an MAOI? Has anyone tried it? It also is anti-inflammatory. Reported effects on aldosterone and cortisol seem to happen only in huge doses, so only a theoretical problem.

I am trying some will keep you posted.
