You're the only other person aside from myself and my sister that I know of who has noticed this effect of white tea. I'm glad to see that someone else has finally noticed and mentioned it. For me, the effect is QUITE pronounced. And really, there's nothing else quite like it. Most other things I've tried that are recommended for anxiety all seem to also promote drowsiness. I can't help but wonder why white tea isn't one of the herbs or natural "cures" first mentioned when discussing anxiety, as it seems to work better than most others. It works very well, but no one notices! I don't know why. Also, I think maybe the action is not due to the L-theanine, because most of the information on L-theanine seems to be mentioned in reference to green tea, and green tea DOES NOT have the same effect on me as white tea.

Anyways, good observation and my experience also confirms it. I drink the Long-life brand of white tea; it is very smooth and sweet tasting.
