Hi,
I was also virtualy vegetarian untill about a month ago, not anymore. the paleo diet proposed by Loren Cordain was adopted as an effective acne treatment, the antidepressant effects were an unexpected side effect. The meat you eat doesn't have to be red.
Lots of Omega 3 rich fish will do. ( not a problem in Finland) But it's one of those diets that need strict adherance especially for the first few months, after that one can add on things a bit at a time.
Once again , check out the website www.thepaleodiet.com , all the info. you need will be there.
This diet won't get you "high" but it'll sure make you feel a whole lot better, physicaly and psychologicaly.Vale
