If you want to counteract anergic states consider taking S-adenosyl methionine which is one of the fastest natural antidepressants known to man...it is a universal methylator and will upregulate your monoamine neurotransmitter levels. You're looking at 3-4 days.
Rubidium Chloride is another powerful mineral antidepressant. 750mg/day will produce an effect comparable with tricyclics but more durable.
D-phenylalanine (not L or D/L) is a natural inhibitor of the brain enzyme carboxypeptidase A which otherwise breaks down your natural enkephalins. Taking 500-1000mg a day over a few weeks can produce a mild narcotic antidepressant and painkilling effect. But you would have to order it from Vitafit in Newzealand...
CDP-Choline (250mg), like NADH (5mg) can increase tyrosine hydroxylase activity and hence Dopamine (the antistress chemical) manufacture and produce a nice antidepressant effect....
Your are looking essentially to increase dopamine tone in the pleasure-reward circuit of the brain called the mesolimbic area and all these nutrients will do that to a greater or lesser extent
Happy hunting...
